The first day of Shoko Komi at prestigious Eitan High School and she has already reached the position of underclassman of the school. With her long black hair and handsome appearance, she captures the attention of anyone she meets; only one problem exists - despite her popularity, Shoko is terrible at making connections with others. Hitohito Tadano is an average student in this school. With his motto "Understand the situation and make sure you're not in trouble," he quickly realizes that sitting next to Shoko turns him into the enemy of the entire class. One day, by chance, Hitohito wakes up to Shoko's "Mio" sound. He says he hasn't heard anything and causes Shoko to flee. However, before fleeing, Hitohito thinks that Shoko cannot easily talk to others - in reality, she has never been able to find a friend. Hitohito decides to help Shoko find 100 friends so that she can overcome her communication disorder.
